BIG GAME HUNTING
Montana hunting has long been recognized as some of the most challenging and most rewarding in America. Our tent base camps for elk hunting are located on Cougar Creek in the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area, and at Buck Creek and Lizard Lakes in the Gallatin National Forest. Trips originate from our base at Doe Creek, and from our trail head camp at Cache Creek, near Taylor's Fork on the Gallatin River. Your gear will be packed to camp the first day while you are hunting.
Our guides are state-licensed; we employ people with plenty of big game experience, backwoods savvy, and horse sense. We've found that most hunters are more comfortable and more successful hunting one-on-one with a guide for each hunter. This allows you to hunt at your own pace. We offer bow hunts in September and October (requires elk tag plus a bow stamp).

Additional days, $425 per person/per day
Add $200 for the first week of General Season, because it's a 7-day trip.
Prices include three hearty meals a day, horses, tents, guides and a cook. In addition, your game will be packed out and taken to a local processor. You are responsible for your own lodging the night before your hunt begins and the night your hunt ends.
This area has an excellent native elk population and is also part of the migratory route for elk whose summer range is in Yellowstone Park and winter range is in the Madison River Valley. Elk numbers, along with the beauty of the area and our camp flexibility make for a successful hunting opportunity.
We are blessed with a plentiful moose population throughout the areas we hunt. Very limited numbers of licenses are available through drawings administered by the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks. Call for details.
This hunt can be combined with an elk hunt, although limits vary as to individual areas.
Hunting goats takes you into country unsurpassed in rugged beauty. As with moose, licenses for mountain goat are very limited, and available by drawing. Our Cougar Creek camp put you in an area with excellent opportunities for success.
We're open daily all year long to take reservations and answer your questions. Please call us at (406)995-4630 or 1 800-352-5956.
